Request Deletion
You can request deletion from inside the app if an in-app deletion flow is available. You can also send a deletion request to support@appdare.com with the subject line "Dare account deletion request". If possible, send the request from the email address connected to your Dare account.
Include your Dare username and any sign-in method you used, such as Apple, Google, or email. Do not send passwords or payment-card information.
Authorized agents, or parents or guardians acting for a minor, may also use Privacy Choices and follow the verification steps described there.
What We Delete
- Your Dare account profile where it can be matched to your verified request.
- Authentication records and app identifiers controlled by Dare, where deletion is available to us.
- Push notification tokens connected to your account.
- Personal data associated with games, rooms, messages, and support records where deletion is required and technically possible.
Effects Of Deletion
Account deletion may permanently remove your access to games, rooms, messages, progress, rewards, virtual items, virtual currency, subscriptions or entitlements recognized by Dare, and other app data connected to the account. Except where required by law, app-store rules, or a payment-provider decision, we are not required to restore deleted data, progress, virtual items, or account access.
If some data was stored only on your device or by a third-party platform, we may not be able to recover it after device loss, app removal, local storage clearing, platform failure, or account deletion.
Questions, answers, messages, room history, reports, or other content that has already been shown to other players may remain visible without account attribution, may remain in other users' screenshots or cached views, or may be retained where required for safety, legal, dispute, backup, or platform reasons.
What May Be Retained
Some information may be retained where necessary for legal, safety, fraud-prevention, tax, accounting, payment, chargeback, dispute, backup, or security reasons. We may also retain de-identified, aggregated, or anonymized analytics that no longer identify you. Specific retention periods are described in our Privacy Policy.
Content already visible to other players may not disappear from every device or backup immediately. Anonymous question asker identity remains hidden from other players before and after deletion.
Verification
Before deleting an account, we may verify that you control it, for example by sending a confirmation code to the email or sign-in identity on file, asking you to confirm from a trusted device, or requesting limited account details. We will not require more verification than necessary.
Timing
We aim to complete verified deletion requests within 30 days unless a different period is required or allowed by law. If we need more information to verify the account or complete the request, we will contact you.
If we deny your deletion request, we will explain why where required by law. You may appeal by replying to our decision email, and you may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Subscriptions And Store Purchases
Deleting your Dare account does not automatically cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription. To stop future subscription renewals, cancel the subscription through the store account where you purchased it.
